Energy access to schools boosts enrollment and even better than expected impact on several key educational outcomes, such as student attendance, teacher motivation, and even test scores.

Before the solar power systems, students had to do homework after dark using candles and lamps, and test scores suffered. Students were afraid of going to the bathroom at night, fearing snakes and thieves, and open defecation was common. Both teacher and student motivation suffered. But now, four additional study hours per day are utilized - students now read from 7 pm to 10 pm and from 5 am to 6 am comfortable. Teachers have better access to educational resources from the internet using their laptop through solar power.

Cygni provides energy at an affordable rate. With access to light, children do better in school because they have more time at night to do homework. And businesses are able to stay open longer, increasing people’s income.

CSR for a hearty life

Health facilities need power. Clinics, maternity wards, operating rooms, medical warehouses, and laboratories rely on electricity to power the lights, refrigerate vaccines, and operate life-saving medical devices. The inability to carry out these essential services puts lives at risk. All too often, particularly in remote areas, health facilities face significant power shortages.

Solar systems provide a stable, clean and reliable energy supply, even in the most remote locations - meaning more patients can access the health services they need. Quality health care requires a dependable source of power for multiple purposes.

Solar energy not only helps to protect the environment, but also provides a variety of health benefits like clean air which counters respiratory problems, including asthma, bronchitis, pulmonary inflammation and chronic respiratory disease, as well as cardio health issues, such as heart attack and stroke which is due to chemicals like sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxide in air.
